Tonalli - Latin Fusion

Tonalli Fusion Latine is a restaurant in the Gatineau area that grew out of Sans Façon. Once Sans Façon had rebuilt its reputation and proven the concept worked, ownership made the call to relaunch entirely under a new identity. Our job was to generate brand awareness in the community.

The Challenge…

In under 90 days of reopening Sans Façon, ownership had raised the capital needed to relaunch the restaurant as Tonalli under a completely new concept. That meant a new name, a new menu, a new room, and an audience that had to be introduced to all of it at once.

For the 90 days following the reopening, the restaurant was fully booked every day

  • Over 2,100 new followers and potential customers across Instagram and Facebook since the relaunch

  • Instagram content interactions up 321.9%; Facebook up 121.6%

  • Instagram link clicks up 562.5%, Facebook up 100%

  • Created a TikTok account

and in 90 days…

But wait, after 90 days…

  • Facebook views up another 54.9%, viewers up 103.2%

  • Facebook link clicks jumped to 1.1K, up 771.8%

  • Instagram reach up 224.5%, page visits up 35.7% on Facebook

  • TikTok started bringing customers almost instantly!

What we did…

We partnered with real influencers, not just posted about the food.

Every relaunch needs voices outside the account saying the food and the room are worth a visit. Influencer collaborations put Tonalli in front of people who trust the person recommending it, not just the brand asking for attention.

We kept ads running instead of using one push and walking away

About two ads a month kept the new concept in front of the right audience while the account was still building its own organic reach.

We collaborated with brands people already knew.

Working with names like Latin Sparks Festival let Tonalli borrow trust from an audience that was already engaged and introduced the concept to people who had never heard of it.

Regular promotions gave people a reason to come back every week, and that consistency is what turned followers into a real online community around the restaurant.

We ran weekly promotions and started building a community, not just an audience

The Results

Tonalli launched under a completely new concept and was fully booked every night for the first 90 days. The numbers backed up what was happening on the floor. Views, interactions, and new followers all grew fast in that first stretch, and instead of leveling off once the launch buzz faded, the account kept climbing in the months after. That is the difference between a launch spike and a real audience. Tonalli built one.
